Lead-in

March 23–26, at the Chicago Hilton

As government agencies navigate the rising expectations for digital services, DrupalCon 2026 offers critical insights into modernizing public-sector websites. Electric Citizen returns to DrupalCon North America as a leading Drupal agency specializing in government websites—serving state agencies, mid-sized cities, and public-sector organizations nationwide.

The annual conference brings together thousands of professionals for three days of workshops, training, presentations, and social events. Attendees include nonprofits, government agencies, universities, large and small businesses, and hundreds of creative professionals working with Drupal.

With two speaking sessions at the Government Summit and our continued sponsorship of this important event, Electric Citizen is deeply engaged in this year's conference.

Government Summit

When: Monday, March 23rd, 9am–4pm CDT
Location: Hilton Chicago, Salon A-1 (LL)

Electric Citizen is proud to sponsor the annual government summit at DrupalCon. For one full day, we’ll gather with government professionals from all over the country to talk about what matters most to them, from security and online accessibility to AI and the latest improvements to Drupal.

As part of the summit, we have two scheduled speaking events:

AI and Search

Our Technical Director, Tim Broeker, will give a short presentation about AI and Search for government agencies.

Building on insights from our recent content around how AI is changing user expectations around site search, Tim will explore practical approaches for government websites looking to modernize search capabilities while maintaining accessibility and compliance requirements.

Too Many PDFs? Build Accessible, Findable Content in Drupal

For one of the day’s featured presentations, CEO Dan Moriarty will be giving a talk about the over-reliance of PDFs on government websites and what to do about it.

A site overly-reliant on PDFs creates problems for many reasons—accessibility, mobile users, search, and content governance. And while many organizations already know this is a problem, they aren't sure how to get unstuck.

Dan will dig into the reasons why it's a problem for both editors and visitors to your site, then outline practical solutions for moving forward.

Exhibiting Sponsor

When: Mon-Wed (all day)
Location: Hilton Chicago, Salon C&D (LL)

As a certified Drupal agency, we have been a sponsor and supporter of open source for the past decade. And one of the ways we do so is through an annual sponsorship of DrupalCon.

Look for our team in the exhibit hall, booth #113, throughout the conference. We’ll be there to answer your questions, tell you more about our capabilities, and chat about your website.

Whether you’re an existing client or someone new, we’ll be happy to connect (in-person!), and share some special swag with you.
