Get Ready for Twin Cities Drupal Camp
This September, Minneapolis will once again host this annual gathering of the Drupal community.
If you are a Drupal developer, web designer, content strategist, site editor or anything connected to open-source and Drupal, you should consider attending!
Dating back to 2011, this conference is dedicated to Drupal, open source technologies, and the tech community around the Twin Cities and surrounding states.
This year's conference is scheduled for September 12th and 13th, and held on the University of Minnesota campus. Check out the official Camp website and (if there's still time) consider getting registered!
WHEN: 9/12/24-9/13/24, 9am-5pm
WHERE: Coffman Union at the University of Minnesota

Electric Citizen has always had a special connection to Twin Cities Drupal Camp, in several different ways.
Sponsors
The first is financial. We are proud to be "Platinum-level" sponsors for over a decade, including in 2024. While the conference organizers and speakers all volunteer their time, there's still a lot of different expenses that go into hosting a 2-day conference, from the event space itself to food and drink, social events, scholarships, and more.
Volunteers
The second way we're connected is in our role as volunteers. I've been a lead organizer of Camp since the first year (when I was still a freelancer), and have been the "Camp Lead" since 2018.
This has meant playing a lot of different roles, from securing the venue and managing camp finances to designing and printing the stickers and badges. And scheduling a lot of planning meetings.
Our Support Team lead, Wilbur Ince, has played a big role as well, helping manage the camp website, volunteer signups and sponsor outreach.
Speakers
The third connection is in our role as presenters. I'll be leading the opening talk on Thursday morning, as well as a conference presentation on Friday. Two of my colleagues will be presenting as well – Wilbur Ince (Client Support) and Adam Fuchs (Director of Development).
All three of our team members will be speaking the same day, Friday September 13th. The topics and schedule as as follows:
- "UW-Eau Claire Rebuild, Case Study," 9am-10am, by Adam Fuchs
- "Don't Put it All on the Homepage," 10am-11am, by Dan Moriarty
- "Getting Started with Visual Regression Testing," 11am-12pm, by Wilbur Ince
Twin Cities Drupal Camp wouldn't happen without the time and generosity of many volunteers and sponsors, and we're thankful to them all for helping us put on this wonderful event of community-building and professional development.
